Hello Everyone,

Welcome to October Communications Committee Update.

In this newsletter, we will be talking more about Text Alerts, the most Recent Newsletters, and also the updated rules for the Norse AFA Facebook page, and the New Norse AFA Facebook Group Chat.

The Norse AFA Facebook Group

We have made some changes to the rules in the Norse AFA Facebook Group.

NOTE: All members of the Facebook group must currently work with Norse as a Cabin Crew Member, and be based in the US. If you are aware that a former colleague is still a member of the group, please bring this to the attention of an admin so that that person may be removed.

Please see the updated list below:

  1. This group is to keep it's members informed
    • Please only make posts to inform members on current matters concerning the membership and/or to lighten the mood.
  2. Healthy discussions are encouraged
    • When controversial articles or posts are published, discussions are encouraged. Please ensure that we are being courteous and respectful in these discussions
  3. No incorrect information is allowed
    • If we find a crew member is posting incorrect information in a post and/or comments, the post and/or comments will be removed.
  4. No hate speech, bullying or disrespect is allowed
    • If we find any member using hate speech, bulling another crew member or singling members out in a negative way, their comments/posts will be removed. If the violation continues, the member may be removed
  5. Be mindful of the types of content that you post
    • Please remember that while the group is private, information has the potential to be screenshot and shared outside of this group by other members. Be mindful that whatever you post in the group may be seen by other entities, including the company
  6. This is not the primary source of union information
    • While we post updates and links here, the primary sources of information for union communications are the newsletters sent to your personal email, and the norseafa.org website. Check these for the most updated information

We have also created a new Norse AFA Facebook Group Chatfor all members of the Norse AFA Facebook Group to communicate freely.

The space is moderated and the same rules from the group apply to the chat. We hope to foster open communication, but also want people to continue to be respectful of our colleagues.

As a reminder the Facebook group is an ancillary communications tool. All official updates will be on the website, and in the newsletters sent out to the crew from the union.
