Spirit Jumpseat Agreement Update: October 7, 2023

Norse Cabin Crew,

Spirit Airlines has experienced several jumpseat reservations that were made by unauthorized persons who are not approved airline crew members . To prevent inappropriate jumpseat listings, Spirit's TeamTravel listing website will now verify credentials with the Known Crew Member (KCM) database, managed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). KCM is only available to crew members working for US airlines, so Norse crew will not be able to make jumpseat listings on Spirit's TeamTravel listing website any longer.

Norse crew needing to use our jumpseat agreement with Spirit must request the cabin jumpseat at the ticket counter or departure gate by showing our Norse crew ID card. You will not be able to make a pre-flight listing as all transactions must now happen at the airport.

We know this situation is not ideal but at the same time it's the same process Spirit FAs have to deal with when flying on Norse.

As a reminder, jumpseat travel is free of charge unless you are traveling internationally where you will be responsible for departure taxes.

Note: This does not affect the traditional Interline Staff Travel Agreement (ISTA) that Norse has with Spirit. You can still make a reduced fare ISTA listing for $25 per leg plus taxes and fees on ID90travel.com for yourself, your travel partners, and your dependents. Norse also secured an ISTA agreement with Frontier airlines, which can be utilized on ID90travel.com
