Question #1: Can we add for Positioning flights that we need our tickets booked separately and that they need to include seat selection, carry on bags and checked bags? We should not have to pay up front for any of these items and wait to get reimbursed.

Answer: We have language specifically in Article 6, Section M of the TA discussing the requirements for passive travel.

  1. Positioning flights will always be carried out with a confirmed ticket. The Company will reserve a seat with a meal, one (1) piece of carry-on luggage,  and one (1) piece of checked luggage for CCMs required to position. CCMs will be afforded the same check-in and seat assignment opportunities as passengers. The Company reserves the right to pull Crew from the flight at check in if the flight is fully booked.
  2. The Company will not require a CCM to occupy a jump seat while engaged in passive travel.

Regarding booking tickets separately, this is something that we will discuss when we go to Riga to continue to work on our scheduling policy in mid-May.
