Our 1 Year Anniversary - Celebrating Success While Taking Action

Today, we celebrate Norse’s 1-year anniversary. Thanks to our CEO, Bjorn Tore Larsen, Norse has given us the chance to fly again, and we will be forever grateful. With luck and perseverance, we hope that Norse is around for many years to come.

Many of us joined Norse with high hopes and expectations. Despite us wishing and hoping for the best, we haven’t seen much progress. We have been promised many things here at Norse, and unfortunately, Management has not followed through. This leads us to a Day of Action, which we have previously talked about.

Friday June 16th, will be the first day (of many) that we take action. First and foremost, the Union will file several longstanding grievances mainly due to broken promises by Management involving Scheduling Hotels, and Travel Benefits all on the same day (June 16th).

Second, we need cabin crewmembers to record a short video clip (10-15 seconds in duration) telling Norse Management why we are disappointed and any struggles you have experienced due to poor management decisions and lack of progress. You can start recording these videos NOW and email them to the union: [email protected]. We will compile everyone’s video together into one and send to management at the same time. Please be clear, concise, and professional in your message. You can wear your uniform in the video, but make sure you’re not on duty (before or after check-in is okay).

Third, we are developing a petition for the crew to sign. The petition will spell out exactly why the crew are disappointed and what we want to be fixed.

On the 16th, we will send a reminder about the “Day of Action” and send everyone the grievances that we have filed with Management.

For now, please celebrate our one-year anniversary with your colleagues and know that from this point on, as we enter our second year at Norse, things MUST be different. We cannot afford anymore broken promises.
