Roster Bidding Project - July 28, 2025 Update

Dear Crew,

This update will cover the following topics:

1. August 2025 Roster Dispute Period
2. September 2025 Roster Bidding
3. In House Crew App

August 2025 Roster Dispute Period

We have been trying to coordinate with crew control about the mutually agreed upon dispute period, however, we have not been to enact this for the August 2025 Roster as promised.

We would like to apologise for this and look forward to doing better with the September 2025 Roster Bidding.

As mentioned in the previous email, Crew Planning indicated that they were able to grant 75-80% of crew member's bids - whether they were just lines of interest or in their top 5 preferences which we do consider to be quite successful for a first attempt.

September 2025 Roster Bidding

Currently, we are deep in preparation stage for the September 2025 Roster Bidding.

We hope to follow a similar timeline as the August Bidding, and have confirmed that the dispute/adjustment period WILL happen as scheduled/promised for this roster period.

Jhenelle (Negotiations Committee) and Ayana (Scheduling Committee) will be travelling to Riga once again from August 6-10 to work in person with crew planning on the pre-release of September 2025 rosters after bidding is complete, and during the dispute period.

Additional information will be presented in the next few days about the bidding process, pre-release period, and dispute period.

 In House Crew App

The email received on July 28, 2025 about the new in house crew app that our Norsecoders are working on is also welcome news.

A member of our scheduling committee attended a demo session and was pleased with the progress that was being made.

We look forward to this app being fully up and running, and the increased functionality planned for crew.
