Neos ACMI Awards Coming Tomorrow

Dear Cabin Crew,

Yesterday, AFA sent the list of crew who bid for the Neos ACMI to the Company. The AFA reiterated our stance that the Company should be inclusive as possible and award the Neos ACMI assignment in strict seniority order, regardless of base, AOC, or special qualification. The Company followed up by saying that the JFK base will be the hardest hit when it comes to flights during the winter whereas MIA is gaining flights. They said that they will try to include MIA based crew in the awards, but notified the AFA this morning that after trying multiple scenarios, awarding the assignment to MIA based crew (on either UK or NO AOC) was not possible. Right now, it looks like the Neos ACMI awards will only consist of approximately 32 JFK based crew. They said that they are working on including all JFK crew in base seniority order, but won't be able to fully confirm until tomorrow morning.

The final bid results will be announced tomorrow (November 9th) around 1200 Eastern Time.

The Company is also ensuring that there is at least one (1) Italian speaking crew member per crew set for a total of four (4) speakers. If you are a fluent Italian speaker and want to work the Neos ACMI assignment, please email BCCC Joseph Gabriel at [email protected] and cc the union: [email protected] by Friday, November 10th. Management will seek out the four (4) Italian speakers from the US bases first, then other Norse bases. The four (4) Italian speakers will be in addition to the 32 JFK based crew that will be announced tomorrow for a total of 36 crew members.

We will provide a lot more information tomorrow with the bid results including a supplemental contract CCMs awarded the assignment will need to sign before working the Neos ACMI assignment.

In Unity,
