If you do not have your crew ID or uniform and you have an upcoming assignment (trip, standby, or reserve), please email: [email protected] and cc [email protected] and [email protected] 24-48 hours before your assignment to let them know that you still do not have these required items.
If you do not need your hotel room, send an email to [email protected] if it's more than 72 hours in advance. If it's less than 72 hours in advance, send an email to both [email protected] AND [email protected] to ensure we save the company money on unnecessary hotel costs. In accordance with the Tentative Agreement, we will still be paid our per diem even if we cancel the hotel.
If you do not need a flight or ground transport, send an email to [email protected] if it's more than 72 hours in advance. If it's less than 72 hours in advance, send an email to both [email protected] AND [email protected] to ensure we save the company money on unnecessary travel expenses. In accordance with the Tentative Agreement, we will still be paid for the positioning flight if we cancel it.
Lastly, the easiest way to calculate your pay (block hours) is to add all operating (working) block hours and positioning (non-working) block hours using Zulu (Z) time. Add all Ground Transport (GT) hours and three (3) hours for every training day and unworked standby day. The best calculator I found so far to calculate block hours is: https://www.calculatehours.com/Time_Calculator.html
I haven't yet found a good calculator for per diem, so if anyone has any ideas, please share!
