2) Summer Schedule Information

Many of you have expressed disappointment about the Summer Schedule. The scheduled released so far is only a portion of the full Summer Schedule that is still being decided. At our meeting in Norway last month, the Union was given a presentation of the Summer Schedule and it contained more information than what was announced publicly. We wrote to the network department and asked what information we could share. The information provided to us is below:

  • We have agreed a plan to operate a maximum of 9 aircraft (in the peak) for S23 which represents a growth of +3 aircraft on S22.
  • Initial release reflects our core routes (existing routes from S22) and represents only 4 aircraft of the planned network
  • The remainder of the network is new routes that require further analysis and risk assessment as we as working on the approvals (regulatory, slots, ops etc) to confirm.
  • We have had a positive response from the slot coordinators regarding our slot submission in line with the plan presented in Arendal
  • We must keep the network plans as confidential as possible to ensure we do not encourage competitive response as well maintaining flexibility (if required) and leverage in negotiations.
  • LGW operations will grow significantly in S3 and will represent the core part of Norse’s network going forward
  • We will start operating from CDG in S23 and perhaps also a further new EU point TBC
  • We will introduce new US network points in our network and connect further existing network points.
  • The next release for S23 is planned in the coming weeks around end Nov/early Dec – watch this space.

3) Leave Requests

Leave Requests are still being received by the planning department at [email protected]. Please also copy [email protected] to the leave request. You can also submit a leave request through CrewConnex. If submitting through CrewConnex, select "LOA" under Absence. If you submit a long-term leave request, please keep in mind that you a subject to a 2-week recall in case the Company needs you to come back early from your leave.

Trip trades are not officially allowed but because of the minimal amount of flying, the planning department is processing trades on a case-by-case basis. Please don't repeatedly email the planning department if your request is denied.

If you have any questions about any other topics, please bring them up on the Zoom call on Friday using the link above. Of course you can always email us with any concerns before then:
