Dear Crew,
We are highlighting TA improvements and answering crew questions.
Today’s newsletter answers crew questions that have been submitted to us.
Question #1: How do I cast my vote?
Voting instructions began being mailed out, along with an executive summary, on April 9, 2025 and were sent to crew members who were eligible to vote and who had the ability to become eligible to vote during the voting process.
Voting is cast electronically or by phone. Voting instructions are printed on your executive summary booklet.
Voting opens tomorrow on April 14, 2025 at 12 noon ET.
Voting closes on May 14, 2025 at 12 noon ET.
Question #2: Can I change my vote?
No. You are only able to vote once on the TA.
Please ensure that you have all your questions answered and all the information you need before casting your vote. If you vote no, you cannot change it to a yes vote & vice versa.
Question #3: What happens if we vote “no” on the TA?
If the majority of the crew votes no and the contract does not pass, this requires further negotiations with the company which would be costly and time consuming.
Your negotiations committee has worked hard to consider the best for our crew and included several improvements in this contract. A majority “no” vote means that these improvements and others might be taken away if prolonged negotiations continue to offset other potential increases the crew may want.
Eg: The company could propose to deny wage increases or reduce hourly wages entirely, reduce per diem, and change other financial pieces to give a raise in guaranteed block hours.
As we have seen with our US counterparts like United, American and more, these negotiations could stretch out for YEARS with no increase in wages or improvement in benefits or working conditions for the crew. United Airlines in particular has been in negotiations for more than 4 years and are still continuing!
Your negotiations team strongly recommends a “yes” vote to ensure that crew are able to see wage increases and better working conditions with immediate effect upon ratification of the contract.
