MEC Update and Upcoming Zoom Meetings

Dear Crew,

This brief newsletter will announce some MEC housekeeping updates, and include information about our upcoming zoom meetings. A more thorough update, including the minutes from the Zoom meetings will be sent out next week.

MEC Update

We are glad to announce that our MEC President, Katarzyna Mroczek is back from leave. 

Thank you Ted for your coverage as acting MEC President while she was out.

Ted returns to the MEC VP and currently, the MEC Secretary-Treasurer position is vacant and will remain so until our next union election in 2026.

Ted and Kat will continue to split the duties of this post in the interim, and will be leaning on members from other committees to assist where possible.

Ted is also currently the MEC Chair of the Grievance Committee.

Zoom Meetings on 09/27/24

We will be having two (2) Zoom meetings on Friday September 27, 2024 to update the crew on outstanding grievances, the negotiations team, and discussing other issues.

The first Zoom will take place at 10am ET and the second will take place at 8pm ET.
