JAL Incident January 2, 2024
All 367 passengers and 12 crew were evacuated by #AviationsFirstResponders working this JAL flight that crashed with a Coast Guard plane in Tokyo. We are proud to call them our flying partners and so grateful they are safe. They exemplify the best of who we are. The plane was already on fire before it came to a stop. There will be much to learn from the incident - crew instructions, carryon bags, aircraft engineering and cabin configuration… remember that we need data and should avoid speculation during the investigation. But clearly, the Flight Attendants are heroes.
Sadly, all but one of the crew of the Japanese Coast Guard plane were reportedly killed. Our thoughts are with their families and friends, and everyone recovering from this incident.
